About the Role:

As an Engineering Technical Writer, you will:

  • Develop clear, concise documentation to help customers effectively utilize MathWorks software products.
  • Demonstrate product features, workflows, and applications through goal-oriented topics and practical examples.
  • Build deep technical knowledge by researching engineering domains and customer workflows.
  • Engage with product developments, provide insights from an industry perspective, and participate in prototype testing to enhance the user experience.
  • Lead by example, driving process improvements and mentoring peers to promote team growth and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience, or advanced degree (Master’s, Ph.D.) in related fields.
  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand, analyze, and explain engineering procedures and technical concepts.
  • Experience or interest in technical writing and documentation development.
